IN BLOOM 2021 - ONLINE
WHAT IS IT?
In Bloom is a development program, running for its fourth year, for dancers to explore their own movement and creativity - usually dancers would produce a showcase of their own works but we have adapted to life in 2021 and dancers will be working to create their own video projects. Staying true to the core elements of our usual stage showcase, In Bloom will encourage dancers to explore their creativity, to collaborate and experiment with choreography. Under the guidance of Casey Chellew, dancers will have the opportunity to explore their own movement ideas/concepts and learn how to translate them to the screen.
Dancers will also work on a piece choreographed by Casey which will eventually be professionally filmed, when COVID restrictions allow. Dancers will get the opportunity to work with the brilliant filming company Pride Productions on a day video shoot - this date will be determined by the hopeful releasing of COVID restrictions and will be announced at a later stage. This will give the dancers something exciting to work towards and look forward to together!
WHEN IS IT?
In Bloom will run as a short intensive program online from 19th September - 3rd October 2021.
All dancers will be required on the three Sundays and different groups will be scheduled for weekdays. All rehearsals will run online via Zoom.
*The professional video shoot date will be determined as soon as COVID restrictions allow.
WHO CAN APPLY?
Dancers aged 14+ who are interested in choreography, creativity, collaboration and want to create some beautiful dance films!
HOW TO APPLY
Please submit a 1 - 2 minute video of yourself dancing either your own choreography or improvisation. For this program I am looking for dancers open to exploring movement and their creativity. So be bold and take risks - be as creative as you can be!
